The Senior Executive Compensation Manager is a strategic leader responsible for designing, implementing, and managing executive compensation programs that attract and retain top leadership talent. This role partners closely with senior executives, Human Resources, Legal, and Finance to ensure our compensation practices are competitive, compliant, and aligned with T-Mobiles performance-driven culture and shareholder interests. In addition to core compensation responsibilities, this role will support complex enterprise initiativesrequiring comfort with change, business transformation, and harmonizing compensation practices across dynamic business environments.

Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on executive compensation for business transformations, including org design shifts, new business integrations, or cross-company harmonization efforts. Ensure consistency and competitiveness of compensation philosophy through change.
- Lead consultation on Director through Senior Vice President job leveling, offers, and retention structures in support of evolving organizational priorities. Provide strategic guidance that aligns compensation with internal architecture and market benchmarks.
- Conduct market research and peer benchmarking to inform compensation programs. Analyze evolving trends across industries, especially in the context of enterprise growth and strategic change.
- Partner with key teams to support compensation decisions related to leadership transitions, enterprise projects, or internal reorganizations.
- Ad hoc reporting, analysis, audit and discussion
- Build tailored executive compensation summaries including individual pay forecasts, custom total compensation packages, or deal-specific incentive strategies.
- Responsible for other duties or projects as assigned by business management as needed.
- Bachelors Degree in Political Science, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 7-10 years experience in Executive Compensation or Corporate Consulting (financial or governance); equity/stock or enterprise compensation backgrounds a plus
- Strong understanding of how compensation intersects with enterprise strategy, talent planning, and organizational change
- Ability to operate in evolving and fast-paced environments where priorities shift and information is incomplete
- Experience working with Legal, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards to drive alignment across enterprise projects

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support key compensation processes throughout the year, including benchmarking, year-end project management, annual compensation review cycle
- Generate comprehensive and accurate modeling of data and insights to be shared with partners across Colleague Total Rewards & Well-being (CTRW) and CEG including leading ad-hoc reporting and analysis for one-off projects
- Collaborate with colleagues to collect necessary information and perform analyses on market competitiveness, minimum wage trends, regulatory updates, retention, and more
- Partner with Compensation Consulting and Colleague Strategic Partners (CSPs) to develop and design compensation tools that support their day-to-day work; provide ad hoc support to Compensation Consulting team on compensation-related activities
- Lead the Companys market pricing strategy and build external perspective for the Global compensation organization. Manage the day-to-day queries from the broader comp team on benchmarking methodology, participate in ad-hoc surveys, and pro-actively suggest and implement new ways that external data could be used in processes
- Evaluate market and economic trends in compensation. Leverage competitive market intelligence to help anticipate and navigate the potential impact to our compensation philosophy, programs, and practices
- Support the maintenance of internal and external compensation competitiveness through compensation program reviews and enhancements
- Ensure any compensation program changes are grounded in external trends and practices
Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Human Resources, Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of Compensation experience, additional HR, finance or related field a plus
- Ability to leverage external market insights and internal analytics to develop insights, make decisions, create solutions, and drive continuous improvement to strengthen total rewards offerings
- Proven compensation experience, including compensation benchmarking
- Strong consultative, analytical, communication and PC skills are a must
- High proficiency in data management and analysis, including Excel
- Excellent PowerPoint skills; ability to translate complicated data into impactful, clear presentation materials
- Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills required
- Quick learner with ability to manage competing demands with a solutions-focused approach

Under general direction and in compliance with standard operating procedures and policies, assists in the development, implementation, and continuous maintenance of the City's classification and compensation systems. Enters and tracks payroll changes, new hire information, and terminations ensuring accuracy, policy compliance, and timely completion. Collaborates with all levels of management regarding the creation and updating of job descriptions. Assists with conducting job evaluations for classification within the City's organizational structure, as well as ensures positions are appropriately classified under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Assists with performing market pricing and analyses. Completes compensation survey submissions by collecting, researching, and analyzing data from various sources. Reviews and analyzes various market survey results to determine compensation trends and evaluate the City's market positioning. Reconciles and monitors position control ensuring departments adhere to budgeted position authorizations. Assists in the administration of performance management programs. Compiles and maintains compensation related and other human resources statistics. Prepares related reports and analyses. Assists other HR disciplines and participates in special projects as assigned.
Job Duties
Process Bi-Weekly Payroll: Process payroll changes, new hire entries, and terminations on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring accuracy, policy compliance, and timely completion. Generate appropriate forms and supporting documents for payroll entries and route accordingly. Calculate and enter retro-payments as necessary. Monitor and track various pay incentive programs (e.g., departmental certification incentives, longevity bonuses, etc.). Administer the tuition reimbursement program and calculate reimbursement amounts for approved coursework. Work with managers and employees to obtain complete and accurate supporting documentation for all payroll entries (e.g., payroll/personnel forms, social security cards, drivers licenses, etc.). Audit system records, entries, and reports to ensure accurate data. Proactively keep the Compensation Manager and HR Director apprised of employee pay issues that may arise and work to resolve issues efficiently.

Assist with Maintaining Compensation Databases: Routinely review new and current job descriptions while working with departments to ensure correct and complete information. As needed, interview and survey employees and managers to gather and document job, organizational, and occupational information including duties, responsibilities, and skills required by each job. Determine and ensure appropriate FLSA classification and placement within the City's organization structure based upon application of job evaluation criteria. Assist in the preparation, coordination, and execution of Compensation Committee meetings. Review and update pay grade assignments, pay structures, position listings, and various other position details across HR systems as appropriate.

Assist with Market Pricing & Analyses: Provide technical and analytical support related to the development, design, and maintenance of compensation programs and systems. Support process of annual salary administration programs, including salary structure creation, maintenance and development of incentive or salary increase budgets. Assist with the development and execution of the Citys custom market salary studies to ensure external market competitiveness. Assist in identifying benchmark jobs, preparing survey materials, and maintaining survey related data. Use spreadsheet data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends. Formulate salary structure and pay adjustment recommendations based upon analysis of survey data and results. Perform internal pay equity analysis and recommend changes as appropriate. Support the analysis of cost projections for proposed changes. As needed, review and recommend salary offers for new hires in coordination with the Compensation Manager, Chief Human Resources Officer, and hiring departments.

Support Accuracy of Position Control: Add and close out positions across HR systems in support of organizational changes. Track and reconcile filled and vacant position counts on a biweekly payroll basis to ensure departments adhere to budgeted position authorizations. Assist in generating authorized staffing reports and various other related reports for review by City management. Support the maintenance and revision of all City organizational charts.

Support Performance Management Processes: Support the annual employee performance evaluation process to include creating, updating, and maintaining evaluation materials. Communicate processes, timelines, and evaluation criteria with department managers and applicable representatives. Assist in coordinating and/or providing training for appraisers. Provide technical assistance to managers throughout the evaluation process in the completion of reviews and goal tracking. Query and compile reports of performance statistics as needed.
