Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>Translate user and business needs into technical designs for AI-enabled features; write clear specs, define success metrics, and align on trade-offs with stakeholders.<\/p><\/li>
Design and build production services and application capabilities that integrate LLMs (prompting, tool use\/agents, RAG, embeddings) with enterprise data.<\/p><\/li>
Implement end-to-end evaluation for features and iterate based on data, user feedback, and telemetry.<\/p><\/li>
Use proficient engineering judgment to choose the right approach for the moment (prototype\/MVP vs. production), and define the \u201cgraduation\u201d path: requirements, testing, evaluation, monitoring, and operational readiness.<\/p><\/li>
Own reliability in production: monitoring, alerting, incident response, performance optimization, and proactive risk mitigation.<\/p><\/li>
Build and maintain CI\/CD, automated testing, and safe deployment practices for AI systems (including prompt\/model configuration management where applicable).<\/p><\/li>

Data Science IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.<\/p>
