Position Overview<\/b><\/p>
Sunsof, a leader in bakery and frozen food manufacturing, is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator<\/b> to join our freezer warehouse team. The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift and other warehouse equipment to move, stack, load, and unload frozen food products while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency.<\/p>
Key Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>
Operate sit-down and\/or stand-up forklifts to move frozen food products in and out of storage.<\/li>
Load and unload trailers, containers, and pallets within the freezer warehouse.<\/li>
Place products in assigned locations, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO\/FEFO).<\/li>
Perform daily forklift inspections and follow all safety guidelines.<\/li>
Assist with order picking, staging, and preparing shipments.<\/li>
Maintain cleanliness and organization of freezer warehouse areas.<\/li>
Accurately scan, track, and record product movement using handheld devices or WMS.<\/li>
Report any damaged goods, equipment issues, or safety hazards to supervision immediately.<\/li>
Follow all GMPs, food safety, and OSHA standards.<\/li><\/ul>
Qualifications<\/b><\/p>
Required:<\/b> 1+ year experience operating a forklift (freezer or food warehouse preferred).<\/li>
Valid forklift certification\/license (or ability to obtain upon hire).<\/li>
Ability to work in freezer conditions (-10F to 32F) for extended periods.<\/li>
Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and product handling.<\/li>
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.<\/li>
Team player with good communication skills (bilingual English\/Spanish preferred).<\/li><\/ul>
