Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS Cloud Migration & Platform Engineering)<\/p>

Location: Canada (Remote\/Hybrid)<\/p>

Position Overview<\/p>

Our client is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to play a key role in the design, migration, and modernization of a cloud-native self-service platform on AWS. This is a hands-on engineering position for someone who has deep infrastructure-as-code expertise, extensive AWS cloud migration experience, and a strong understanding of modern AI services within the AWS ecosystem.<\/p>

The successful candidate will lead infrastructure automation, enable cloud adoption, and partner closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to migrate existing on-premises workloads into AWS while establishing best practices for long-term operational support.<\/p>

This role requires an individual who is highly self-directed, able to navigate a large enterprise environment, facilitate technical discussions across multiple teams, and mentor internal support teams throughout the cloud transformation journey.<\/p>

Key Responsibilities<\/p>

• Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform as the primary Infrastructure-as-Code platform.<\/li> <\/ul>
  • Lead the migration of enterprise applications and infrastructure from on-premises environments to AWS.<\/li> <\/ul>
    • Design and implement CI\/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to support rapid, reliable application delivery.<\/li> <\/ul>
      • Develop cloud architecture patterns that support a modern self-service application platform.<\/li> <\/ul>
        • Implement and integrate AWS AI and ML services including Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore where appropriate.<\/li> <\/ul>
          • Partner with application development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to plan and execute cloud migration activities.<\/li> <\/ul>
            • Facilitate technical workshops, architecture discussions, and planning sessions across multiple stakeholder groups.<\/li> <\/ul>
              • Establish cloud operational standards, automation practices, and deployment procedures.<\/li> <\/ul>
                • Mentor and train internal infrastructure and operations teams to transition support responsibilities from traditional on-premises environments to AWS cloud operations.<\/li> <\/ul>
                  • Produce technical documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.<\/li> <\/ul>
                    • Drive continuous improvement across cloud infrastructure, automation, monitoring, security, and operational excellence.<\/li> <\/ul>

                      Required Qualifications<\/p>

                      • 8+ years of DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering experience.<\/li> <\/ul>
                        • Extensive hands-on experience designing and administering AWS cloud environments.<\/li> <\/ul>
                          • Expert-level experience with Terraform in enterprise production environments.<\/li> <\/ul>
                            • Proven experience leading on-premises to AWS cloud migration initiatives.<\/li> <\/ul>
                              • Strong knowledge of AWS networking, IAM, security, compute, storage, and container services.<\/li> <\/ul>
                                • Hands-on experience implementing solutions using:<\/li> <\/ul>

                                  o Amazon Bedrock<\/p>

                                  o Amazon SageMaker<\/p>

                                  o Amazon Bedrock AgentCore<\/p>

                                  • Experience building CI\/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tooling including Github and Jenkins.<\/li> <\/ul>
                                    • Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, or similar).<\/li> <\/ul>
                                      • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.<\/li> <\/ul>

                                              • Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.<\/li> <\/ul>
                                                • AWS certifications are considered an asset.<\/li> <\/ul>
